There comes a time in every entrepreneur’s life when they are faced with an undeniable truth—the moment when growth demands radical honesty. For me, that moment arrived at Istoria’s Solopreneur Conference (Solo Con). It was an eye-opening experience, one that peeled back the layers of my own self-perception and forced me to ask, Who am I being?
The Power of Authenticity in Leadership
One of the most striking takeaways from Solo Con was the raw honesty of the host, Harris III. His openness was a breath of fresh air, a reminder that true leadership isn’t about performance—it’s about alignment. I could see, in real time, how standing fully in one’s authentic self changes how we show up in business and in life.
For years, I’ve balanced multiple businesses, always striving for outward growth. I never stopped my personal development, but I now realize that I wasn’t fully honest with myself about my business growth. I had blinders on, unable to see that my divided focus was holding me back.
“Honesty is the first step towards growth. But honesty without courage leads to stagnation.”
Stephen Covey, SEVEN Habits of Highly Effective People
And courage—the courage to pivot, to let go, and to align fully with my purpose—is exactly what is required of me now.
Releasing the Past, Embracing the Future
There’s a deep wound I haven’t acknowledged until now. When I closed the Holistic Health Community Center of Ventura, a piece of me felt lost. That loss has lingered in the background of my entrepreneurial journey, influencing my decisions and limiting my vision. But as I face these emotions head-on, I recognize that it’s time to release the pain and step fully into the dream I’ve already built—the Integrative Wellness Collective. My soul is asking for alignment, for focus, for full commitment.

A Bold Decision: The Future of My Business
A conversation with a trusted friend and colleague, Jennifer, sparked an idea that won’t let go:
What if all of my business services were integrated under the Integrative Wellness Collective?
In many ways, I’ve already begun moving in that direction. Stephanie Bucklin Consulting LLC has served its purpose, helping me build my expertise and impact. But what if the next phase of my evolution means fully merging my consulting into the larger vision of the Collective? This would be a shift from solo leadership to collaborative leadership, something I now see as essential to my long-term success.
Sharpening the Saw: Preparing for the Next Level
In my therapy session this week, I was reminded of Covey’s concept of “sharpening the saw,” from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
“Give me six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” – Abraham Lincoln
I’ve spent years cutting with a dull blade, dividing my energy, and wondering why I wasn’t seeing exponential growth. Now, I realize that to truly step into the CEO role, I need to stop, reflect, and refine my approach.
Authenticity & Self-Acceptance: The Foundation of Growth
Leadership isn’t just about strategy and execution. It’s about self-awareness, self-acceptance, and a willingness to embrace both strengths and weaknesses.
“The privilege of a lifetime is being who you truly are.” – Joseph Campbell
I see now that I have been resisting stepping fully into my authentic leadership. I’ve been waiting for the “right time,” afraid to let go of what I’ve built, even if something greater is calling me forward. But true growth is not for the weak. It requires radical self-honesty, courage, and an unwavering commitment to alignment.
No More Wishy-Washy Leadership—Only Authenticity Moving Forward
Moving forward, I am ready to embrace the transformation. I will take the necessary steps to merge my business efforts into one cohesive vision, allowing the Integrative Wellness Collective to fully flourish.
This is the path I am choosing:
✅ Focusing my energy where my heart truly is
✅ Honoring the wisdom gained from my past experiences
✅ Stepping into leadership with clarity and confidence
And most importantly—letting go of what no longer serves me.
“Begin with the end in mind. Decide what you stand for and act accordingly.” –Stephen Covey
I know what I stand for. I am ready. The next chapter begins now.
Namaste,
Stephanie Bucklin
