Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the nature of my own healing journey. As a Pleiadian Starseed and Lightworker, I’ve come to understand that my growth and spiritual expansion have always been tied to my healing. The body truly is a temple for the soul, yet there are days when I feel like my temple is crumbling. Chronic neck and back pain, once something I thought I could manage, has evolved into nerve pain. It makes me feel older than I am, fragile even—as if my body is betraying me.
But the deeper I sit with this, the more questions arise: Why does life give us suffering? What am I meant to learn from this pain? Could pain itself be a blessing disguised as suffering?

Pain as an Invitation
When pain arrives, it’s easy to view it as an enemy. Yet, what if pain is an invitation? What if nerve pain, instead of being a sign of decline, is actually a signal of awakening? Dr. Joe Dispenza often reminds us that “your personality creates your personal reality.” Our thought patterns, emotions, and energy states are inseparably linked to our physical well-being. He teaches that the body can become addicted to old emotional states, repeating cycles of stress and discomfort until we consciously rewire our patterns of being.
In this light, pain is not punishment. It may actually be the body’s way of asking us to notice what has been ignored, to expand beyond the habitual, and to open into deeper healing.
The Five Bodies: Layers of Experience
Across spiritual traditions, humans are often described as multidimensional beings with several “bodies” or layers: physical, emotional, mental, energetic, and spiritual (sometimes called ethereal). When one layer is out of alignment, the imbalance ripples through the rest.
- Physical Body: Pain, illness, and injury reveal themselves here. It’s the most tangible, yet often just the messenger.
- Emotional Body: Feelings and unresolved trauma can manifest physically if left unprocessed.
- Mental Body: Beliefs, thoughts, and conditioning shape how we perceive pain—whether as a prison or a pathway.
- Energetic Body: Our life force, prana, or chi. Blockages here may result in stagnation and dis-ease.
- Ethereal/Spiritual Body: The realm of soul, intuition, and higher consciousness—where suffering can sometimes transmute into wisdom.
Bessel van der Kolk, in The Body Keeps the Score, explores how trauma is not just remembered in the mind but stored in the body. This resonates deeply with me: pain is not always “new.” Sometimes it is an old story resurfacing, a memory woven into the tissues, asking to be witnessed and released.
Challenging the Status Quo of Suffering
It’s tempting to see suffering as life’s cruelty, but what if suffering is also a catalyst? Eckhart Tolle writes in The Power of Now, “Suffering has a noble purpose: the evolution of consciousness.” In this view, pain doesn’t just erode the body—it awakens the soul. It shakes us from autopilot and demands presence.
Sometimes, I wonder: What if this nerve pain is simply my 5D body experiencing the ascension process? Perhaps the discomfort is a shedding of density, a recalibration into higher frequencies. Maybe the suffering is not punishment, but preparation.
The Blessing Within the Pain
When I hold pain not as an adversary but as a teacher, something softens. I begin to ask different questions:
- Instead of “Why me?” I ask, “What is this showing me?”
- Instead of “How do I stop the pain?” I ask, “What layers of me are calling for attention?”
- Instead of resisting, I practice listening.
This shift doesn’t make the physical pain disappear instantly. But it transforms the meaning I give to it. Pain becomes less of a cage and more of a compass.
And sometimes, in the midst of suffering, life surprises me with blessings of hope and love. A kind word, a synchronicity, or a sudden sense of inner peace reminds me that healing is not linear. It is multidimensional.
Closing Thoughts
I am beginning to see pain as a doorway into wholeness—an awakening that calls me to tend not just to the physical body but to all the layers of who I am. If the body is indeed a temple, then perhaps even its cracks and fractures are sacred.
As I continue my healing journey, I invite you to consider: What if your pain is not here to break you, but to break you open?
