Humans are social creatures. We are born craving connection, intimacy, and touch. Somewhere along the way, our culture often teaches us to deny or suppress that longing, replacing it with competition, individualism, and disconnection. But at our core, the beauty of connection is what keeps us alive.
I’ve known this truth since my early years. Exploring my sexuality as a teen, breaking rules by coming out as bisexual, marrying a woman, and walking my own entrepreneurial path — I never really believed in the constructs most humans adhere their lives to. As an indigo child, I’ve always sensed I was here for something greater than myself, drawn deeply toward spirituality even as I saw the cracks in religion and tradition.

Breaking Away from Culture
What culture did I step away from? The suburban, middle-class, white American lifestyle. The Standard American Diet. The conditioning of consume, conform, and compete. I saw the cost of that lifestyle in my own family — watching my father suffer from heart disease and diabetes, and losing friends to drugs or suicide. Gen X was sold sugar, pills, and escape routes that left us sick, lonely, and confused.
That suffering woke me up. It made me curious about the human condition, about healing, and about what it really means to be alive. My writing is a way of documenting the path of self-healing, but also a way of creating new truth — one in which connection, compassion, and higher consciousness guide us forward.
Human Suffering and the Search for Light
The Buddha once said: “Life is suffering. It is hard. The cause of suffering is attachment. The end of suffering is attainable.” His Four Noble Truths remind us that pain is not the end, but the beginning of awakening.
Jesus also spoke to this, teaching: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” To feel deeply is to be human, and in that vulnerability we discover the depth of love.
And Patanjali, in the Yoga Sutras, wrote: “Yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind.” When we calm the restless waves within, we open the door to union — with ourselves, with others, and with the divine.
Toward Connection and Wholeness
Our culture tells us “I am the only one that matters.” But what if the truth is the opposite? What if we are each cells in a larger organism, awakening to our interdependence? The beauty of connection lies in recognizing that healing ourselves is also healing the collective.
My journey is not about rejecting life, but about transcending its limitations. It’s about remembering that we are not here merely to survive in isolation but to thrive together — soul meeting soul, heart meeting heart.
As I continue documenting this path, I write for those ready to reclaim intimacy with themselves, with others, and with the sacred essence of life itself. The invitation is simple: step beyond the old constructs, touch the truth of your being, and awaken to the beauty of connection.
Namaste,
