My Essential Oils Story
I discovered essential oils (EO) during my Holistic Health Studies education program at Ventura College in the beautiful beach town of Ventura, California (40 miles north of Los Angeles).
I was a part of the Holistic Health Club there, and we hosted these annual Holistic Health Fairs at the college to bring more awareness to Holistic & Quantum Medicine. At these events, we featured local speakers who were experts in their fields of alternative and complementary healthcare. This included nutritionists, acupuncturists, naturopathic doctors, chiropractors, aromatherapists, colon hydrotherapists, massage therapists, and other natural healers and healing spaces, like infrared saunas, float centers and wellness centers.
On the last day of the Holistic Health Fair, we would host a Vendor Fair for the college students and local community. The healers could show off their specialties and products at these annual events. It was here that I met my first essential oils practitioner. She was a bodyworker (massage therapy) and an aromatherapist. She and I hit it off, and I ended up attending one of her Essential Oils educational events. When I learned how much these oils can do for us, I quickly became a Young Living Essential Oils Distributor in 2013.
My first love was Lavender Essential Oil (pictured below). It’s used as a calming scent and I use it for stress management.
I quickly discovered the Thieves All Purpose Cleaner, because I was looking for a nontoxic cleaning agent. What I didn’t realize at the time was that there’s a whole line of Thieves products!
On my YouTube Channel, I host monthly Connecting to Healing Interviews. I enjoy learning new things about different healing techniques and modalities. The Connecting to Healing Interviews are a way for me to bring this information to you without having to become an expert in it myself. In March 2021, I interviewed two of the ladies in my Young Living Essential Oils Independent Distributor upline, Jennifer Delgado (Hawaii) and Nicole Sidaway (Texas/Brazil).
